Welcome to the Pack!

I’m Mary, the owner of Leader of the Pack. I started this business to create a place where dogs could thrive and that only happens when we have a strong, caring team.

We’ve grown a lot over the years, including opening our new facility on 22 acres just outside Sun Prairie. But one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to exceptional care, teamwork, and doing things the right way.

This page will give you a better sense of who we are and what the role involves. We want this to be a great fit for you too. If it feels right, you’ll answer a few quick questions at the end to move forward.

Thanks again for your interest. We’re excited to learn more about you.

Owner, Leader of the Pack Doggie Daycare
Why We’re Not Your Average Dog Daycare

At Leader of the Pack, we go beyond basic care. Our entire program is built around purpose-driven enrichment and a strong, supportive team culture. We don’t just watch dogs—we lead them, guide them, and help them thrive.

Everything we do is based on our PACK Promise:

  • P – Personalized Care: We learn every dog’s personality, needs, and play style, and tailor our care accordingly.
  • A – Active Enrichment: Dogs take part in structured activities that challenge them mentally, physically, and emotionally.
  • C – Communication & Connection: We keep pet parents informed and connected with clear, thoughtful updates.
  • K – Kindness Above All: We treat every dog with empathy, respect, and care—always.

We believe dogs thrive when their caregivers are supported too. That’s why we hire intentionally, train thoroughly, and value team members who bring energy, accountability, and heart to the job every day.

What You’ll Be Doing Each Day

This role is hands-on, active, and deeply rewarding. As a Dog Daycare Enrichment Leader, your day will be a mix of supervision, enrichment, and care—all centered around helping dogs thrive in a safe, structured environment.

  • Lead safe, structured group play sessions using clear commands and calm energy.
  • Guide daily enrichment activities like agility, puzzles, scent games, or calming exercises.
  • Learn each dog’s personality and adjust your approach to match their needs and behavior.
  • Keep play areas, kennels, and rest zones clean and sanitized throughout the day.
  • Write thoughtful daily updates or report cards for pet parents using a tablet or computer.
  • Monitor for signs of stress, illness, or injury and take appropriate action if something seems off.
  • Support your teammates and contribute to a calm, professional, and fun environment.

Every day is different, but the goal is always the same: create a space where dogs are safe, enriched, and cared for with purpose.
